We are so excited to kick off the Unity Challenge: Join, give, and make a difference today!
This three-month challenge isn’t just about fun and games; it’s about coming together as a community to make a lasting impact.

Every point counts, so get creative with how you engage! Whether it’s hosting a virtual event, reaching out to family and friends, or setting a team fundraising goal, every action helps us build stronger communities. Plus, we’ll be awarding bonus points to teams based on their progress!

Getting Started

  • Share your fundraising link with friends, family, and coworkers.
  • Be creative! Host a mini-event, a bake sale, a themed dress-up day—every dollar counts.

We’ll be tracking fundraising progress alongside your challenge activities, so bring the energy, generosity, and the spirit of giving!

How to Participate

Fundraising for Impact

Help kick off the challenge by raising funds for The Diversity Center of Northeast Ohio’s School and Youth Programs. Every dollar raised helps create more inclusive communities and earns your team points!

  • 1 point per dollar raised
  • Bonus points will be awarded for creativity and fundraising milestones!
All funds raised through the official team fundraising platform will be tracked automatically, so just focus on your strategy and outreach. Every dollar helps build more inclusive and empowered communities.

Move for a Cause

Track your physical activity in minutes (walking, biking, dancing—whatever gets you moving!)

1 point per 30 minutes of physical activity

Give Back

Volunteer your time and log your hours. Snap a photo of your impact and send it to Cierra Hilson.

1 point per volunteer hour

Inclusion Actions

Complete simple, meaningful actions that promote inclusion. Examples:

  • Introduce yourself in a team meeting and share something unique about your background.
  • Share one article or video on diversity with your team.
  • Compliment a teammate on their work, focusing on their unique skills or strengths.
  • Learn one new thing about a culture or background different from yours.
  • Suggest one improvement to make your workspace more inclusive.

Trivia Challenge

Test your knowledge in weekly trivia rounds. Correct answers earn your team points, and each round’s top trivia champs may snag bonus points!

  • Cierra Hilson will post 3-5 trivia questions every Monday.
  • Teams will need to submit answers by 5 pm on Friday.

1 point per correct trivia answer

Scorecard Access

Team Captains will be responsible for updating their team’s scorecard each week. This includes logging physical activity, volunteer hours, inclusion actions, and trivia results. Cierra will give access to the scorecard once the team captain creates their team. If you don’t have time to update your scorecard, send all information to Cierra, and she will update it for you.
